The foundation from a long-gone barn becomes an outdoor gathering area with built-in fire pit. We added natural stone stairs in one corner to easily access the house. Corner raised beds for growing flowers and vegetables help frame the design and provide seasonal interest.
An old brick walkway was meticulously restored when its original bed had become uneven and unsafe.
A granite ribbon driveway provides an extra parking spot with minimal disruption to the lawn, and a custom cedar trellis gives some dimension to a blank wall.
Pergolas help define an outdoor living area and, with the addition of climbing plants, can offer shade on hot summer days.
This barn's foundation was built from stones found on the property, and the reclaimed door and hardware are great finishing touches.
